Hey There
I’m Patrick Yun, a filmmaker and photographer based in North Lake Tahoe. What started as a curiosity for capturing moments has grown into a career centered around storytelling, movement, and the outdoors. My work is shaped by travel, long days outside, and the people and communities I collaborate with along the way.
Every project I take on has a story behind it. From filming in the mountains to working with local businesses, nonprofits, and brands, I’m drawn to moments that feel honest and earned. I care just as much about the process as the final product — the early mornings, the imperfect conditions, and the connections built along the way.
This site is a collection of that journey. Here you’ll find my work, the stories behind it, and the values that guide how I create. If you’re looking to collaborate, you’ll get a sense of how I work, what I care about, and how I aim to bring authenticity and intention to every project.

Why Sustainable Tourism Matters
In this project, I set out to tell the story of the North Lake Tahoe Tourism Business Improvement District and why it matters to the place I call home. Since its launch in 2021, TBID has helped fund initiatives that support local businesses, improve infrastructure, and encourage sustainable tourism.
With renewal ahead, this video focuses on how those investments stay local—supporting workforce housing, protecting the environment, and strengthening the quality of life in North Lake Tahoe for both residents and visitors.
Creating a Ski Film in Japan
This was my first time creating a short film internationally. Months of preparation, pitching, planning, and uncertainty went into making it happen. Traveling to Japan pushed me creatively and personally, turning an idea into something real through persistence, trust, and a lot of learning along the way.
